The 'Meteoryt' ikebana vase stands as a vivid example of 1960s Polish artistic ceramics, crafted in Bochnia. Its low, wide, and slightly flattened form is made from glazed ceramic in a warm, honey-brown hue with a subtle golden undertone. The entire surface is finished with a mirror-like, high-gloss glaze that accentuates the organic lines and creates a smooth, lustrous effect. The upper plane is punctuated by an irregular arrangement of openings of various diameters, sculpturally reminiscent of meteorite craters or natural rock perforations. Softly rounded edges and seamless transitions between the body and the holes emphasize the handcrafted nature of the piece. The base is signed. Condition: perfect, with no signs of wear, chips, or cracks. The 'Meteoryt' form echoes the voice of Polish avant-garde from the 1960s, when fascination with nature and the cosmos inspired designers' imaginations. The vase’s body suggests movement and transformation, as if capturing in ceramic the moment between earthly matter and abstraction. Its mirror-like glaze reflects light, multiplying highlights and shifting the object’s character with the time of day and viewing angle – allowing the vase to become a living participant in the interior, subtly co-creating rather than dominating the space. The 'Meteoryt' vase can be paired with minimalist forms of ceramics or glass and works well on a solid wood console, a low shelf, or a living room sideboard. Displayed with single, long branches or dried flowers, it reveals its organic spirit. Interiors inspired by mid-century modern, eclectic collector’s arrangements, or contemporary spaces with vintage accents are all environments where this object will
