The ikebana vase from the Perlenmutter series, produced by Loetz Witwe in 1899 in the former Austro-Hungarian Empire, exemplifies the highest standards of Art Nouveau craftsmanship. Made of hand-blown opalescent glass, it features a mosaic of multicoloured bands and a harmonious, bulbous silhouette that gently tapers toward the base and neck.
