This industrial vintage wall sconce, produced by Elektrosvit Nové Zámky in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s, is distinguished by its construction of transparent pressed glass set upon a white glazed ceramic base with gently rounded edges and a subtly defined square profile. The geometric glass shade, built from pronounced, lens-like 'bubble' reliefs, serves both as a protective and decorative element, dispersing light in a characteristically ornamental way. The glass features a cool, slightly bluish hue, while the high-gloss ceramic underscores the striking surface texture. The sconce is equipped with a smooth ceramic connector between the shade and base, as well as a discreet side switch. The entire fixture is built in the 'brusel' and space age style, typical of Czechoslovak mid-century modernism from that decade. It is preserved in very good condition, displaying only minor, age-appropriate traces of use, free from chips or cracks.
