This late 19th-century Viennese crystal box for jewelry and a pocket watch is a testament to refined craftsmanship of its era. Its structure features clear, faceted crystal glass panels, elegantly catching and reflecting light, all framed in gilded brass mounts with a gentle patina. The box stands on four ornate, cabriole-style feet adorned with leaf and scroll motifs. A pierced crest with a leaf ornament graces the top, while beaded edging defines the frame’s outline. Inside, the original silk cushion in a champagne hue remains intact, with a central brass holder designed for a pocket watch (diameter 4.4 cm). The closure is a small, side-mounted latch in matching gilded brass. The overall design blends late historicism and Victorian influences, balancing geometric clarity with richly detailed decoration. The condition is very good: only minor signs of use, no visible damage or restoration.
