This Austrian brass box from the 1960s exemplifies refined design at the intersection of Art Deco and mid-century aesthetics. The structure is built on a rectangular form with a slightly elevated flat lid, supported by four small brass sphere feet. The dominant geometric motif is emphasized by rhythmic, horizontal bands of polished brass running around each side, breaking up the mottled green patinated panels on the lid and side faces. The patina, achieved through oxidation, creates a unique marbled texture—each section offering a distinct, tactile quality.
