The Tulu & Lynch wool kilim rug from the 1960s is a classic example of Anatolian textile craftsmanship, originating from Turkey. Made from wool, it features a bold, graphic design composed of three vertical colour fields: a deep crimson red on the left, saturated black in the centre, and a softer, rose-red on the right. The matte surface accentuates the natural wool texture, while the distinctive, hand-knotted curly pile creates a tactile, three-dimensional effect across the rug—an organic, irregular character typical of Tulu textiles. The edges are finished with loose, hand-tied fringes, reinforcing its artisanal origin and authenticity. The construction consists of a traditional flat weave with decorative pile applied on top. Its generous proportions (169 × 247 cm) make it a statement piece for a larger interior. Preserved in excellent condition, it bears only minimal traces of use consistent with carefully maintained vintage textiles. Washed in super condition ready to use. This rug embodies the spirit of 1960s Anatolia: a meeting of rustic simplicity and a keen sense of colour and comfort. The irregular pile speaks of the maker’s hands, of time spent knot by knot. The palette—black, crimson, rose—evokes traditional Turkish hues, yet their arrangement is stripped down, boldly modern, echoing the bohemian and farmhouse aesthetic. Each matte, soft surface tells a story of gatherings, everyday rituals, and the understated beauty
