This vintage kilim from the 1960s, originating in Turkey, is crafted from natural wool and cotton using a traditional flatweave technique. Its proportions are generous (310 × 186 cm), with a rectangular form. The composition features harmonious horizontal stripes in pastel and earthy tones—blue, lavender, sage green, peach, beige, and brown—interspersed with darker brown and cream bands. Select areas are enriched with geometric motifs in white, pink, and red, characteristic of mid-20th-century Anatolian kilims. The surface is matte, with the weft and warp structure clearly visible, and the edges are finished with a simple fringe. The rug remains in excellent vintage condition, showing only minimal traces of use, with no damage or repairs.
