ABOUT PRODUCTID 10536
This handwoven kilim is an authentic example of mid-20th century Turkish craftsmanship, rooted in the tradition of Anatolian oriental textiles. The rug is crafted entirely from high-quality wool, both in the weft and warp, giving it a distinct matte texture and a dense, compact weave (approximately 250,000 knots per m², thickness around 8 mm). The surface features a warm, naturally derived palette: terracotta, burnt orange, beige, cream, and muted pink, accented by black and dark brown. A central diamond motif is flanked by rhythmic zigzags and chevrons, while the borders repeat stylized ornaments typical for the region. The edges are finished with long, irregular fringes that, along with the gentle patina and minor signs of use, emphasize the kilim's authenticity. Condition: good, with minor traces of age but no major damage or repairs. Woven in the spirit of Anatolian tradition, this kilim carries the narrative of craftsmanship passed down through generations. Its geometric forms and earthy colors tell of everyday life—warmth by the hearth
