This large French kitchen set from the 1930s comprises six faience containers, exemplifying the functional craftsmanship of the Art Deco era with a distinct nod to rustic French tradition. Each container is crafted from faience and finished in a warm, creamy off-white glaze with a glossy surface. The hand-painted motif of yellow pears, flushed with red and set among green leaves, is rendered in a soft, slightly impressionistic style, unifying the set visually.
