ABOUT PRODUCTID 19390
The 'Koperty' vase, produced by HSG Ząbkowice in the 1970s, is a representative example of Polish pressed glass from the modernist era. Its cylindrical body is adorned with a rhythmic, geometric relief pattern reminiscent of envelopes, achieved through precise mold pressing techniques. The glass is a translucent shade of rose pink—more saturated at the base, gradually softening toward the top—typical of so-called rosalin glass. The glossy outer surface reflects light and accentuates the three-dimensional aspect of the design, while the interior remains completely smooth, providing a subtle contrast to the pronounced exterior pattern. The overall aesthetic follows a Central European modernist approach, eschewing extraneous ornamentation in favor of clarity of form and harmony between function and decoration. The condition is very good: there are no chips, scratches, signs of repair, or discoloration; the vase retains its original shine with no trace of use.The subtle pink hue and disciplined geometry echo the voice of the 1970s, a time when everyday objects sought equilibrium between utility and visual impact. The vase seems to narrate a moment in history when details mattered—a period where light would gently scatter across a surface textured with order and modern optimism, and the envelope motif would softly pulse around a calm, regular form. This vase suits either a collectors’ interior or a mid-century modern setting. It can be paired with other pressed glassware—especially in contrasting blue or amber tones—to create a cohesive palette. It is well positioned atop a veneered sideboard, accompanied by accessories in natural materials: wooden bowls, ceramic sculptures, or minimalist candleholders. Whether as a solo accent on a shelf or grouped with graphic prints in grey or white on a muted wall, its subtle structure and color come into their own
