ABOUT PRODUCTID 37798
This round, flattened ladies' snuffbox from the early 20th century was made of high-grade 925 silver by the Lenk manufactory in the former Austro-Hungarian Empire. Its surface is adorned with lemon-yellow guilloché enamel, producing a warm, vivid yellow tone that highlights the intricate, radiating engine-turned pattern beneath. At the center of the lid, four tiny green enamel leaves form a delicate cross motif. The silver rim and precisely integrated hinge complete the harmonious silhouette. Inside, a removable frame allows for a photograph or keepsake, making this object both decorative and distinctly personal. The snuffbox is preserved in very good condition with its original patina and all components intact; only a subtle loss of enamel near the edge reveals its authentic vintage character. This petite snuffbox whispers of a turn-of-the-century era when the applied arts embraced Art Nouveau’s fluid lines and organic motifs. The lemon enamel evokes the sunlight of breakfast parlors, while the green leaves seem to speak of discreet gestures and private secrets cherished by its former owners. Every detail reflects the artisan’s care—from the radiating guilloché to the precisely finished interior, where a photograph could safeguard a cherished memory. Though small, the object preserves the spirit of its time: the elegance of daily ritual and the gentle sentimentality of a bygone
