This 19th-century Austrian ladies' writing set presents a harmonious ensemble of three writing instruments, housed in its original case lined with ruched pink silk and velvet. The set comprises a letter opener, a dip pen with a removable nib, and a functional mechanical pencil, each featuring handles crafted from natural, hand-polished mother-of-pearl. The lustrous, iridescent surface of the mother-of-pearl reveals subtle pink and silvery hues, with smoothly tapered shapes designed for refined comfort and lightness. The metal fittings are made of nickel-plated brass, displaying a mirror-like shine and delicately engine-turned patterns that enhance grip and visual appeal. The instruments are arranged in a rectangular, black case with a stable brass clasp; the interior fabric shows minor edge wear, yet the set remains complete and in excellent condition, with intact mother-of-pearl and metalwork, and a fully operational pencil
