The Falcon lamp, designed by Andreas Hansen in 1969 for the Danish manufacturer Fog & Mørup, is an exemplar of Scandinavian mid-century modern functionalism. The construction comprises three lacquered steel segments: a cylindrical top, a wide flat disc, and a cascade of cylindrical and conical elements below, forming a distinctive geometric silhouette. The dominant, deeply saturated red lacquer with its mirror-like gloss emphasizes the precision of craftsmanship and imparts a bold, contemporary character. The white interiors of the shades ensure even light diffusion. The lamp is suspended from a slender black cord, reinforcing its minimalist aesthetic. All connections are concealed, and the surface remains perfectly smooth and free from scratches or dents.
