ABOUT PRODUCTID 1772
This table lamp with Pierrot, designed by J. Hurka in France during the 1920s, offers a rare figurative interpretation of Art Deco. The body is crafted from silver-plated and patinated pewter, presenting a cool silvery-grey tone with subtle, darker accents that highlight the sculptural details. The Pierrot figure—wearing the traditional costume with oversized buttons and a pointed hat, holding a small mandolin—stands on a base that imitates stone, finished in a deep greenish-grey with a marbled effect. The spherical shade is made of frosted glass, decorated with a delicate swirling pattern that gently diffuses the light. The E14 bulb socket remains exposed, mounted in a metal, flower-shaped holder. The cream-colored electrical cord features a classic inline switch. The lamp is signed with the mark of a Parisian foundry. Condition: good, with light traces of patina and minor surface marks typical for its age, but no significant damage or repairs. This lamp evokes the artistic spirit of 192
