This liqueur set, crafted around 1900 in the Austro-Hungarian region, comprises a decanter shaped like a small jug, six cylindrical shot glasses, and a tray resting on three spherical feet. The ensemble is defined by a cool, silvery hue of white metal, gently softened by a natural patina. The decanter is made of cut crystal glass with a geometric, embossed pattern, topped with a silver-plated lid and collar. Its flowing, S-shaped handle echoes the organic motifs of Art Nouveau, while the heart-shaped tray features a scalloped, undulating rim and a practical handle. The shot glasses, also in silvery metal, have a smooth, subtly brushed finish. All parts harmoniously combine metal and glass, showcasing precise craftsmanship and refined detailing characteristic of the early 20th century. The set is preserved in very good condition, showing no damage, only a patina that underscores its antique origin. This set carries the voice of the Belle Époque, evoking an era when domestic rituals and gatherings were marked by a sense of ceremony and artistry. The slender silhouette of the decanter and the organic curves of the metalwork reflect the finesse of Viennese Art Nouveau, which infused everyday objects with softness and material nobility. The gently diffused patina tells of evenings past—conversations and toasts shared over liqueur—making the set a silent witness to the cultivated atmosphere of its time. The set may be elegantly displayed on an inlaid console or within a period sideboard, accentuating the collector’s spirit of a living or dining space.
