This lounge chair, designed by Miroslav Navrátil in the 1950s, exemplifies Czechoslovak modernism, combining an organically contoured fiberglass shell with four tapered solid wood legs. The seat features a separate, round cushion, while the entire chair is upholstered in a French bouclé fabric by Bisson Bruneel in a creamy tone. The matte, pronounced texture of the material highlights the softness of the lines and sculptural quality of the form. The pale oak legs, connected by angled stretchers, display visible grain and a satin sheen. The chair's proportions are compact yet offer a wide, ergonomic seat and comfortable backrest. All elements – shell, upholstery, and wooden base – have been thoroughly restored.Navrátil’s chair evokes a dialogue between substance and movement – fluid transitions and an enveloping silhouette suggest both freedom and a focus on comfort.
