ABOUT PRODUCTID 42569
This guilloché menu or calling card stand was crafted in Vienna by the Hacker manufactory in the second half of the 19th century. Made of silver-plated brass, it features a cool, silvery metallic sheen and a solid, weighty construction. The form is based on a stepped hemisphere, intricately engine-turned to create a geometric, shimmering texture. The upper section is adorned with a sculptural, fan-shaped holder inspired by oriental motifs, with detailed linear and beaded decorations. The fan alternates between matte and polished finishes, enhancing its three-dimensionality. The stand is designed to hold a menu or card slipped securely into the fan-shaped grip. Its heavy base is resin-weighted for stability. The piece is marked with the manufactory name and engraved with the name 'Eminencji Krejcik.' Condition is very good, with no visible damage, dents, or significant wear. Only minimal patina is present in the recesses, emphasizing the authenticity of the object. This stand evokes the refined spirit of late 19th-century Vienna, when craftsmanship met cosmopolitan fashion and oriental influences. Its gleaming surface and geometric pattern recall the ambiance of salons where every detail mattered and even small objects became conversation
