ABOUT PRODUCTID 11611
Designed by Ludwik Fiedorowicz for HSG Tarnowiec in Poland, this vase embodies Polish studio glass of the 1970s. Crafted from thick, smooth glass in a saturated, deep red that transitions to a lighter, almost orange-red tone at the outward-flared rim, it features a sculptural, geometric form: a broad, rounded base supports a slender neck adorned with two symmetrical, ring-like protrusions, culminating in a wide, cylindrical mouth. The entire piece is finished in a high-gloss, mirror-like surface with no additional decoration, handles, or fittings, emphasizing the purity of form and color. Its harmonious proportions and substantial glass thickness are evident both visually and to the touch. The vase is preserved in good vintage condition with only minimal signs of age-appropriate use. The glossy surface remains well maintained, without chips or cracks. This vase channels the spirit of the 1970s—a time when Polish design explored saturated colors and streamlined forms, seeking brightness in everyday life under the Polish People's Republic. The dominant red evokes the energy and optimism of the era, while the ringed details on the neck reference artisanal skill and a keen sense of proportion. Even when empty, the vase captures and reflects its surroundings, introducing subtle movement of color and light into the room. The vase can be paired with wooden furniture featuring the clean lines of mid-century modern, or placed on a low sideboard to draw out the depth of its color. It works well as a solo statement against a light wall, or alongside minimalist accessories: a single branch, a black-framed print, or matte ceramics. In collector's, eclectic, or vintage-inspired interiors, the vase serves as a bold, sculptural accent.
