This large Rococo-style milk jug was crafted in the late 19th century by the Norblin company in Warsaw. Made from repoussé brass, it features a silver-plated exterior with a highly polished, mirror-like surface and a delicately gilded interior that adds a subtle golden warmth against the cool silver sheen. The bulbous body displays pronounced vertical fluting, while the undulating, asymmetrical rim with its sculpted edge highlights the decorative essence of the Rococo revival. The handle follows an organic, scroll-like curve, adorned with a leafy motif and ornamental flourishes. The raised, lobed base echoes the rhythm of the body’s fluting, lending both stability and visual unity.
