ABOUT PRODUCTID 17679
This miniature travel clock from late 19th-century Germany features a rectangular gilt brass case, generously covered with a deep red enamel in a warm, muted tone with subtle marbling. The body’s gently rounded corners soften its outline, and four small, rounded brass feet lift it delicately off the surface. The prominent, arched brass handle at the top displays authentic patina and natural darkening, consistent with its age. The beveled crystal glass protects a matte, porcelain dial in Art Nouveau style: raised, hand-painted gold Arabic numerals edged in black, a central 24-hour ring, and a minor subdial for the alarm. The ornate black-and-gilt hands echo the decorative ethos of the era. Visible brass elements show harmonious signs of oxidation typical for antiques. The movement is spring-driven with an integrated alarm function, working and retaining its mechanical integrity. There are no visible cracks or chips to the enamel or glass; no evidence of excessive restoration, only charming, era-appropriate wear – the overall state is well-preserved and original.
