This miniature travel clock, made in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century, exemplifies utilitarian craftsmanship from the Art Nouveau period. Its rectangular, compact form (8 × 6 × 4 cm) is crafted from copper with a warm reddish-brown hue and a matte finish. The front frame, four spherical feet, and the subtly curved top handle are made of brass, displaying a soft satin sheen and a natural patina. The silvered dial features hand-painted black Arabic numerals and precise minute markers, protected by beveled crystal glass. Slender blued steel hands—including a third for the alarm function—complete the composition. The construction is characterized by rounded corners, meticulously finished metal joints, and visible screws. The clock is in very good condition, bearing only minor surface marks and a uniform patina without any significant damage or evidence of restoration.The design of this clock evokes a time when travel was a ritual experience, and everyday objects acquired a deeply personal value.
