This vintage mirror from the 1940s is set in a substantial, hand-carved solid wood frame in a warm, medium to dark brown tone, with prominent, natural wood grain throughout. The semi-gloss finish subtly enhances the depth and richness of the wood, reflecting light and highlighting the intricate carvings. The frame is adorned with deep, openwork botanical and foliate motifs, featuring swirling leaves and scrolls, especially prominent along the sides and corners. The top is crowned by an ornate crest with a central shield or urn-like detail, flanked by stylized animal or mythical figures.
