This mocha cup and saucer set, marked Stara Role Moritz Zdekauer, originates from Czechoslovakia and dates to the 1920s. Made from fine, cool-toned white porcelain, the set features a glossy surface and balanced proportions (cup: height 5.8 cm, diameter 6 cm, length with handle 8.5 cm; saucer: 10.6 cm). Both cup and saucer are densely adorned with a repeating pattern of stylized flowers, their outlines and edges hand-gilded in highly reflective gold. The sculpted handle, entirely covered in gold, boasts a dynamic Rococo-inspired scroll, while the gently scalloped saucer and subtly raised floral relief emphasize delicate craftsmanship.
