ABOUT PRODUCTID 19502
This vase from the 1970s is crafted from pressed soda glass in an olive-green tone, characteristic of the Ząbkowice Glassworks in Poland. The entire surface is covered with a molded, light-diffusing geometric pattern of gently rounded rectangles and oval shapes, lending the vessel visual depth and a tactile three-dimensional texture. The matte finish and medium translucency are archetypal features of mid-century pressed glass with clear nods to modernist and brutalist influences of the Eastern Bloc. The overall proportions are tall and subtly tapered toward the base, emphasizing both its functional intent and decorative quality. The absence of additional colors or embellishments and the barely perceptible mold marks, visible only upon closer inspection, underscore the mass-produced signature of 1970s Ząbkowice glass. The vase is preserved in very good condition, with no chips, cracks, or signs of restoration. The vase seems to echo the restrained voice of late modernism—silent yet purposeful—offering a narrative in which utility and design find common ground. The rhythmically repeated relief pattern and the cool olive glass evoke interiors where the simplicity of form coexisted with standardized mass production. As light filters through the matte geometric surface, the vase gains optical depth, recounting the quiet routines of Polish home life of the era without resorting to decorative excess. This vase could be displayed as a solo piece on a light, raw wood or concrete surface, where its olive color sets a gentle contrast against a neutral background. It can be combined with other pressed glass forms or
