The GE280 modular sofa, designed by Hans J. Wegner for Getama in the 1980s, consists of five separate seating elements that can be freely arranged in either angled or linear configurations. The construction is based on a light oak frame with a natural, satin-matte finish that highlights the wood grain and provides a warm contrast to the upholstery. All seat and back cushions are covered in a vibrant, cool-toned blue textile with a matte, visibly woven texture that adds both softness and structure. The sofa features gently angled backrests and armrests, rounded legs, and horizontal slats on the back—hallmarks of Scandinavian modernism that reinforce its visual lightness and functional clarity.
