This Mokka coffee cup with saucer, produced in Altrohlau (now Stará Role, Czech Republic) in the 1920s, features the Donatello shape typical of the period. Crafted from fine, glazed white porcelain, it is adorned with a vibrant, multicolored Imari-inspired floral and foliate pattern applied by decal, with hand-finished painted details. Deep cobalt blue, bright orange, olive green, yellow, and carmine red dominate the decoration, while elegant gilding accents the rim, handle, interior of the cup, and saucer edge, lending the set a cohesive and decorative character. The harmonious silhouette reflects Art Deco influences. The underside carries the Altrohlau factory mark. Condition is very good with no visible cracks or chips and only minor wear to the gilding inside the cup.This cup brings to mind the refined mood of the interwar years, when small objects in domestic cafés spoke of journeys and global inspirations.
