The Monti modular double-sided bar shelf, designed by František Jirák and produced in the 1970s by Tatra Nábytok in Czechoslovakia, features a solid oak frame in a warm, honey-toned semi-matte finish that highlights the natural wood grain. The upper section presents a double-sided glass-fronted display cabinet with sliding panels and a single glass shelf, all framed in the same rounded-edge wood. Below, the structure offers a countertop and two cabinets: a compartment for bottles with double-sided doors that also serve as a small table, and a capacious cupboard with a shelf, also accessible from both sides. All doors and the drawer have minimalist, integrated wooden handles. The legs are slightly splayed, lending visual lightness typical of mid-century modern design, and the overall proportions remain slender and balanced. The piece is in good condition: structurally sound with complete glazing, though the top surface shows areas of wear—scratches and finish loss—requiring some restoration. One cabinet lock is not functional
