This Murano glass vase from the 1950s, attributed to the Mandruzzato workshop, is crafted using the sommerso technique, where layers of colored glass are submerged within a clear crystal matrix. The body is marked by a striking gradient: sapphire blue at the base gives way internally to rich magenta or cranberry red, all encased in a transparent outer layer. The shape is slender and teardrop-like, with a distinctive asymmetric, curled spout—a detail characteristic of the Venetian glassmaking school in the mid-twentieth century.
