ABOUT PRODUCTID 29323
This large, octagonal music box was crafted in Italy during the 1960s–70s, embodying the decorative sensibility of mid-century Italian craftsmanship. The piece is clad in a rich burl walnut veneer with a warm, medium brown hue, featuring a distinctive swirling grain and natural figuring. The lid is adorned with intricate marquetry in light beige and golden wood tones, depicting musical instruments and floral motifs—a nod to the decorative traditions of Italian artisans of the era. A black, beveled wooden trim frames the lid, providing contrast and definition, while the whole box rests on four small, round brass feet with a gentle aged patina. The front features a decorative brass escutcheon around the keyhole, and the original wind-up key is present. The interior is lined with fabric, offering a dedicated space for jewelry or keepsakes. The construction reveals precise joinery and smooth, rounded edges, characteristic of high-quality woodworking. The music box is preserved in very good condition: minor surface scratches and subtle signs of use are present, in keeping with its age,
