This Northern European mahogany mirror frame, dating from around 1890, exemplifies the restrained neoclassical style that characterized late 19th-century craftsmanship. Its construction is defined by two slender, rounded columns topped with simple capitals, flanking the central mirror area (currently missing in the photographs, revealing the authentic structure and confirming its period origin). The upper cornice projects gently forward and curves softly, accented by a central floral or foliate applique in dark metal or wood. The frame is finished in a deep, warm mahogany brown
