This lead crystal obelisk, produced in the town of Desna (Czechoslovakia) in the 1980s, exemplifies a sophisticated union of glassmaking craftsmanship and postmodern geometric sensibility. The sharply defined pyramidal form (31 × 12 × 8 cm) is fashioned from transparent 24% PbO lead crystal, with smooth, glossy planes expertly polished to maximize light refraction. Inside, a intricately rendered three-dimensional miniature of the Eiffel Tower is embedded within the crystalline mass—its filigree architectural latticework and subtle details demonstrate the hallmark precision of the Czech glass school
