ABOUT PRODUCTID 5702
This octagonal Imari vase from Japan, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, is crafted from fine faience with a smooth, subtly undulating surface. The eight-sided form lends architectural lightness, while the high-gloss glaze enhances the vibrancy of its palette: a warm, creamy white base contrasted with deep cobalt blue, iron red, and touches of green and gold – all characteristic of the Imari style. The decoration is meticulously hand-painted, arranged in eight panels alternating between stylized florals, landscapes with water and willow trees, and traditional Japanese symbols.
