The DRABERT rolling office chair from the 1960s is an example of German industrial design from the mid-century modern era, originally intended for office and laboratory use. Its structure is based on a robust, cool grey metal frame with a four-star base on casters for mobility. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a medium-grey synthetic fabric with a fine, slightly coarse texture, while the armrests are made from black matte plastic, mounted on bent metal tubes. The chair features a rotating seat and a functional backrest adjustment, while the geometric form and exposed screws and welded joints underscore its utilitarian, minimalist character. The height adjustment mechanism is non-functional, and the upholstery requires replacement, but the frame and casters remain in good working order.
