This original oil painting by Carl Gustav Ludvig Jacobsen (1890–1957), a Danish painter and sculptor, is presented in its authentic, period, gilded wooden frame. The composition depicts two children playing together, rendered in a loose, impressionistic manner characteristic of early 20th-century Scandinavian painting. The palette is dominated by warm, earthy tones—ochre, sienna, and muted red—complemented by blue and white accents in the children's clothing.
