ABOUT PRODUCTID 19285
This three-piece breakfast set, attributed to the Sarreguemines manufactory and dating to circa 1860, represents a refined example of high-quality European porcelain created in the spirit of oriental fascination. The set comprises a thin-walled teacup with a delicately contoured handle, a saucer, and a dessert plate. Smooth, creamy-white porcelain forms the backdrop for hand-painted floral motifs, where carmine-burgundy and gold outlines harmonize with cobalt blue, celadon green, pink, and orange. Scalloped, undulating rims highlighted by a deep burgundy edge elevate each piece beyond simple function to an example of sophisticated 19th-century tableware art. Ornate patterns, lustrous gilding, and a perfectly glossy surface are all hallmarks of Sarreguemines’ artisanal mastery. The set survives in very good collector’s condition—no cracks, chips
