This handwoven Chinese silk rug, measuring 95 × 180 cm (including fringes), features a dense structure of approximately 200,000 knots per square meter and a smooth, lustrous surface characteristic of high-quality natural silk. The primary color is a warm, creamy beige, forming the backdrop for a central arrangement of round medallions in shades of deep pink, burgundy, and soft red. The border is richly adorned with stylized floral and geometric motifs in dark blue, navy, and black, accented by light pink and rose tones, while the outer edge is highlighted by an intense, saturated blue. Long, white silk fringes on both shorter sides complete the composition. The rug is preserved in very good condition, with no visible signs of wear or restoration. The smooth silk surface reflects light as if echoing the atmosphere of imperial chambers, where such textiles symbolized luxury and masterful craftsmanship.
