The pair of EJ 96 'Apollo' armchairs, designed by Peter Hjort Lorentzen and Johannes Foersom for the Danish manufacturer Erik Jørgensen, exemplifies contemporary Scandinavian design from the early 21st century. Their construction centers on organically shaped, wide seats with a rounded shell-like profile, evoking the gentle openness of a seashell. Each armchair rests on a single, central pedestal made of polished and brushed stainless steel, which reflects light and emphasizes the modern character of the design.
