This pair of Diana armchairs, designed by Karin Mobring for Ikea in the 1980s, represents Scandinavian modernism influenced by the tradition of safari chairs. The frames are crafted from solid pine, displaying a light honey tone and prominent, natural wood grain. The wood is smoothly finished, resulting in a matte, tactile surface. The seat and backrest are made of thick, brown canvas with a cool undertone and a subtly textured, slightly rough finish; white contrast stitching in a grid pattern adds geometric interest.
