ABOUT PRODUCTID 3974
This pair of type 366 armchairs, designed by Józef Chierowski for Dolnośląska Fabryka Mebli in Świebodzice during the 1960s, is a distinctive example of Polish utilitarian modernism. The structure is based on a solid beech wood frame, finished in a medium brown semi-gloss that highlights the natural grain. The compact mid-century modern silhouette features clean lines, splayed and tapered legs, and wide, flat armrests with gently rounded edges. The light grey upholstery has a matte, subtly textured weave, complemented by two fabric-covered buttons on the backrest, adding a restrained geometric accent. The armchairs offer a comfortable seat height of 45 cm and a stable, ergonomic build. Authenticity is preserved through the original support strap and a manufacturer’s label on one chair.
