This pair of armchairs, produced by Czech manufacturer Ton in the 1960s, exemplifies the solid craftsmanship of the mid-century modern era. The frames are made of solid wood, stained in a medium walnut tone and finished with a satin-matte lacquer that highlights the natural wood grain. Straight, tapered legs and gently curved, organic armrests reflect the characteristic aesthetics of the period. The seats and backrests are upholstered in a thick, deep navy blue fabric with a fine, even weave; the cushions are generously padded for comfort and support.
