This pair of Art Deco wall sconces, produced circa 1940–1960 by the A. Marciniak lamp manufactory in Warsaw, features solid brass construction with a gleaming, mirror-like finish in a deep, warm gold hue. The design is defined by a grooved, circular wall plate from which two gently upward-curved arms extend, ending in trumpet-shaped E27 bulb holders. The form is devoid of decorative motifs, focusing on geometric simplicity, fluid outlines and the pure luminous quality of brass, enhanced by the subtle interplay of light on its surface. Exposed mounting screws emphasize the streamlined functionality and frugal aesthetic. Dimensions: height 17 cm, width 28 cm, depth 20.5 cm. The pair is preserved in very good condition with renewed electrical wiring, showing no signs of wear—color and finish remain consistent, the surfaces are smooth, and technical functionality is fully maintained.The design speaks to the era of gradual modernization in post-war Polish interiors, reflecting the balance between decorative utility and everyday practicality.
