ABOUT PRODUCTID 6533
This pair of Art Nouveau vases was produced by Legras St Denis Mont Joye in France around 1914. Each vase is crafted from profiled, acid-etched glass, resulting in a matte, satin finish with a milky white, slightly opalescent hue and subtle translucency. The form is spherical with a wide body and an undulating, scalloped rim, emphasizing the organic inspiration of the period. Decoration consists of a hand-painted mistletoe motif: green leaves and white berries outlined in gold, arranged freely across the glass surface. Olive green and pale yellow accents reinforce the botanical character of the design. Each vase measures 9 cm in height and 12 cm in diameter. The craftsmanship is precise, with smooth finishing and invisible seams, and there are no signs of damage, wear, or restoration. Condition: excellent, collector’s grade. These small vases embody the spirit of French Art Nouveau on the eve of the First World War.
