ABOUT PRODUCTID 32269
This pair of large faience ashtrays from the 1970s, produced by the Włocławek manufactory in Poland, represents the distinctive utilitarian ceramics of the PRL era. Each ashtray features a square form with gently rounded corners and a substantial, well-balanced shape. Their surface is covered with a glossy, creamy off-white glaze that reflects light and highlights the decorative aspect of the pieces. Hand-painted floral motifs in vivid cobalt blue, deep brown, and olive green create a dense, expressive pattern characteristic of the folk-inspired Włocławek style from the mid-20th century. Three notched rests for cigarettes are integrated into the rim of each ashtray, emphasizing the functional side of the design. The faience material is smooth and moderately thick, with visible brushstrokes in the decoration attesting to the artisan's hand. Both ashtrays are in very good vintage condition—the glaze is intact, the patterns are well-preserved, and only minor, natural signs of age are visible. The listed price applies to the complete set of two pieces. These ashtrays
