ABOUT PRODUCTID 2523
This pair of bedside lamps, produced by the Swedish manufacturer Enco in the 1970s, exemplifies classic mid-century modern design. Both lamps are crafted entirely from polished brass, featuring a warm, golden tone with a mirrored gloss. The rounded, domed bases transition smoothly into slender, baluster-shaped stems with gentle, symmetrical curves. The bulb holders, made from black material, stand in bold contrast to the brass, emphasizing the modernist aesthetic. Each lamp is topped with a large, spherical vintage E14 bulb with a frosted, textured surface, further enhancing the retro character. The construction is solid, with visible seams typical of quality craftsmanship from the era. The lamps are signed and preserved in very good condition, showing a delicate patina and minor surface marks consistent with natural aging. The form of these lamps evokes the spirit of Swedish modernism from the 1970s: simplicity balanced by subtle ornamentation. Brass, both golden and softly reflective, conjures the mood of tranquil evenings, as light diffused through the frosted bulbs gently envelops the space. The black accent around the socket recalls the boldness of designers who embraced material and color contrast in that era. Every trace of
