ABOUT PRODUCTID 42743
This pair of Italian bedside or side tables from the 1970s embodies the essence of Hollywood Regency, where lightness of form meets decorative refinement. Crafted from metal in a vivid gold tone with a mirror-like finish, the frames reflect ambient light and surroundings. Each table features two tiers with rectangular, smoked glass tops—almost black with a subtle brownish hue—adding depth and contrast to the bold gold frame. Rounded corners, slender column-inspired legs, and jewelry-like detailing at the joints lend the pieces an air of elegance and lightness. The overall proportions are harmonious, with an open, transparent construction. Condition is rated as good: minor scratches, abrasions, and localized patina on the gilded surface are visible, especially up close, serving as a testament to their vintage character. The listed price refers to the set of two tables. These tables echo the voice of 1970s Italy—an era unafraid to blend opulence and lightness. Gold and smoked glass evoke the ambiance of salons where light danced on mirrored surfaces, and furniture became not just functional objects but statements of a longing for Hollywood glamour. The delicate abrasions and subtle patina tell of decades past, as if the tables narrate their own cinematic story from a time when every dinner could turn into a private celebration. The tables can be arranged as nightstands on either side of a bed or as elegant side tables next to a sofa. They suit interiors styled in Hollywood Regency, glamour, or vintage aesthetics, but can also provide a striking accent in contemporary, minimalist spaces. They may be paired with dark wood, marble, smoked glass, or velvet to create a setting rich in light and contrast. On the tops, sculptural lamps, glass vases, or ceramic collections can be displayed to highlight their decorative character.
