This pair of Murano glass bowls from the 1950s/1960s, designed by Dino Martens for AVEM, represents the innovative spirit of postwar Italian modernism. Each bowl features a freeform, asymmetrical silhouette with undulating edges and sculptural contours. The base is formed from deep, opaque navy glass, providing a dramatic contrast to the upper surface, where the 'tutti frutti' pattern unfolds: a lively composition of yellow, green, pink, red, blue, and white, enriched with shimmering silver leaf inclusions and delicate air bubbles embedded in the glass. The surface is smooth and highly polished, with color layers swirling organically—an effect synonymous with Murano’s artistry and technical finesse. The bowls are preserved in excellent vintage condition, with one minor chip at the edge of one bowl and no visible signs of wear or restoration.
