This pair of Staffordshire ceramic busts is a fine example of mantelpiece decor typical of English interiors at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Crafted from glazed earthenware, the busts depict children in traditional attire: the girl wears a bonnet with a scalloped edge adorned in purple and pink, while the boy dons a cap with green and red stripes and dotted patterns.
