This pair of coffee tables, designed by Pierre Vandel in Paris during the 1980s, exemplifies the Hollywood Regency aesthetic where the clarity of glass meets the geometric precision and glamour of chrome and gold. Each table features a square profile with a frame constructed from polished, fluted metal—chrome-plated angles forming crisp outlines, accented by gold-toned details at the corners, legs, and intersection points. The thick, beveled glass tops are fully transparent, lending the composition a sense of lightness and visual clarity. Straight, vertically grooved legs are capped with gold, while the base is reinforced by a cross-shaped stretcher in chrome with gold accents. The palette centers on cool silver, warm gold, and transparent glass, with a high-gloss, reflective finish throughout.
