This pair of small Imari vases, crafted from Japanese faience at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, is distinguished by a classic, gently bulbous form with a slightly flared rim and narrow base. The foundation is a warm, creamy white glaze, providing a backdrop for expressive, hand-painted ornamentation. Deep cobalt blue and vivid iron red dominate the color scheme, accented by touches of gold and subtle green.
