ABOUT PRODUCTID 16756
This pair of ceramic serving dishes, crafted by the Longwy manufactory in France in the 1960s, is a quintessential example of mid-century modern style interpreted through the lens of French design. Both pieces are round with undulating, sculptural rims, one dish featuring elegantly integrated side handles. A deep, glossy black base sets off vibrant multicolored floral motifs, applied using distinctive polychrome glazing—shades of yellow, turquoise, blue, green, red, pink, and off-white form a dynamic composition. The floral decorations are defined by bold black contours, characteristic of the Longwy style. The finish is highly lustrous and smooth to the touch, echoing the high artisan standards of this historic factory. Original Longwy manufacturer stickers affixed to the bases certify authenticity and period origin. Both plates show excellent preservation, free of visible damage or signs of heavy wear. These ceramics embody the optimistic spirit of the 1960s—a period
